CrazySocks4Docs (CS4D)

CrazySocks4Docs, or #CS4D, raises awareness of the mental health needs of all our healthcare workers. #CS4D Day originated in 2017 in Australia as an initiative by cardiologist Doctor Geoff Toogood.
The Ithemba Foundation liaised with Dr Toogood and brought the campaign to South Africa for the first time in 2018. In 2019 we launched it as one of our major projects, as it was clear that #Caring4OurCarers is of the utmost importance.

#CS4D is celebrated every year on the first Friday in June. On this day medical professionals and the public at large are encouraged to wear crazy, mismatched socks to raise awareness of the importance of caring for the mental health of our healthcare workers.
